Hello everyone .

I thought I would start a page that was just about Maggie to share with everyone .

Margaret Claire Reed ( Maggie ) was born on August 8, 2006 on a beautiful summer day . She is our 4th beautiful little girl .

Mom and dad were planning on recouperating in the hosptial and bringing her home to start life with our newest addition .

But life steared us another way and Maggie had been born without a right thumb ,radial hyperplasia in the right arm, hypoplastic left thumb , hemivertebra/ fused and shorten sacrum and tail bone /congenital scolosis , tethered spinal cord , an extra rib , imperforated anus , hydronephrosis in the right kidney , grade 2/3 kindey reflux , and a severely dialated right ureter with possible ectopic ureter , and Atrial Septial Defect ( ASD) , with allergies to milk , soy , eggs and wheat . Also throughout my pregnancy she had a two vessled umblical cord that was confirmed after she was born .

Later on we found out that Maggie was born with what is called VACTERLS Association.

Things have been overwhelming for both my husband and I at the moment . But I know that things will eventually slow down and life will hopefully start getting to normal eventually .

We are very blessed that Maggie has the least amount of problems there are with children that have VACTERLS . Luckily she was born without the T and E which I am most grateful for . We are most greatful that her problems can be fixed and she will go on to lead a wonderful and happy life . Maggie is a wonderful little baby . She sure is brave that's for sure for what she has already been through ( and will go through ) in her short time already here on earth.

I know Maggie will teach us all and show us all that she CAN do anything that she puts her mind to. She already has .

12/14/06 - 4th month baby checkup

12/20/06- Shriners- Dr. Hood ( hand dr.)

12/23/06-12/31/06- Hospitalized

1/23/07- Follow up in PIttsburgh with Dr. Burns

1/26/07- Sick with virus

8/2/07- hospitalized for dehydration due to ear infection/sore throat

8/08/07- Happy First Birthday Baby Girl !!!!

8/9/07 - 1 year check up

8/ 11/07 -hospitalized for dehydration due to c-diff

8/14/07 - Tethered cord release at Children's -cancelled

8/20/07 - Shriners to meet Dr. Sanders -cancelled rescheduled for Nov .

9/18/07 - Tethered cord surgery .. cancelled

9/20/07- weight check

9/25/07 - Dr. Schober -urologist

9/30/07 - ear infection /sore throat

10/9/07 - tethered cord surgery -

11/ 5/07 - Orthopedic appointment at Shriners with Dr. Sanders

11/ 12 /07 15 month well baby check up

11/13 /07 - VCUG done at Hamot follow up with Physician's Assistant

12/3/07 - GI - new doc Dr. Clavell

12/4/07 - ENT - Dr. Steeler , ear check

12/11/07 - Renal scan followed up with Dr. Schober

1/2/08 - Allergist in Pittsburgh - Dr. Alori

1/3/08 - Swallow study - Hamot

1/07/08 - Ear tube surgery scheduled

1/14/08 - Follow up with GI doc -Dr. Clavell

2/08/08 - ear infection

2/12/08 - 18 month check up

3/12/08 - Dr. Schober . 3 month follow up
